On May 19, as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Novosibirsk State Technical University, a solemn ceremony was held to award scientists, teachers and university staff with departmental awards from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
"The university, created for the tasks of industrial breakthrough, has always been of strategic importance for the development of Siberia — it has trained highly qualified engineering personnel. Over the past 75 years, over 200,000 specialists have been trained, many of them headed by the country's industrial giants, scientific institutes and half of the enterprises of the Novosibirsk region. Today, the university actively participates in the most important federal programs, such as Priority 2030, and remains a center for applied science, fundamental research, technological solutions, and the graduation of specialists ready for their development and implementation," said Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Anatoly Bataev, Rector of NSTU-NETI, presented high departmental awards to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The title "Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation" was awarded to Anastasia Rusina, Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Oleg Avrunev, Director of the Center for Informatization of the University, Alexander Bannov, Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Denis Vagin, Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Alexander Dmitriev, Professor of the Department of Laser Systems, Sergey Chernov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Sergey Veselov, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering, Professor of the Department of Data Collection and Processing Systems Vladimir Guzhov.

The badge "Young Scientist" was awarded to Alexander Riedel, Associate Professor of the Department of Occupational Safety.
Also on May 19, the leadership of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences congratulated the staff of NSTU-NETI on its 75th anniversary, presenting honorary awards to the university's scientists. During the solemn meeting of the Academic Council, employees who received the title of "Honored Worker of NSTU" were awarded, and the winners of the annual Prometheus student Award were announced.
