Three days of struggle brought the third place for the team of NSTU (NETI) teachers and staff in the team competition of the Spartakiad of teachers, researchers, and employees of higher educational institutions of the Urals and Siberia "Druzhba-2024"!
The 60th anniversary Spartakiad was held at the Tyumen Industrial University from January 31 to February 2 and brought together athletes from 13 universities in Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Novosibirsk, Kurgan, and Kemerovo.
Our teachers performed in six sports and showed the following team results:
Cross—country skiing — 1st place;
GTO All—around — 2nd place;
Volleyball, men — 3rd place;
Badminton - 3rd place;
Swimming - 5th place;
Table tennis — 6th place.
The members of the NSTU (NETI) team also demonstrated high personal achievements.
On the first day of the competition, they won three gold medals in the 50-m freestyle swimming:
• Marina Viktorovna Zueva, Senior Coach-Teacher, Department of PE;
• Natalia Nikolaevna Rodionova, pool administrator;
• Sergey Nikolaevich Gerasimov, Senior Coach-Teacher, Department of PE.
On the second day of the Spartakiad, seven medals were won on the ski track and two in the pool! The best results in their age categories on the ski track were shown by: men, 65+, 3 km — Valery Leontievich Cherniy, head of the ski base; men, 55-59. 5 km — Alexander Borisovich Nekrasov, laboratory assistant at USOC; men, 40-44. 5 km — Roman Alexandrovich Rybachenko, Senior Coach-Teacher, Department of PE; women, 35-39. 5 km — Yulia Olegovna Filimonova, Associate Professor, the Department of KTRS. The third places in the ski races went to: men, 35-39. 10 km — Andrey Valeryevich Ivanov, head of the Department of Information Protection; women, 55+, 3 km — Nadezhda Anatolyevna Chumova, Coach-Teacher of the USOC; women, 45-49. 3 km — Marina Vasilyevna Andreeva, Senior Coach-Teacher, Department of PE.
M. V. Zueva and N. N. Rodionova won gold medals in the breaststroke that day.
On the last day of the competition, our male volleyball players became the bronze medalists of the Spartakiad.
