        Radio Engineering and Electronics

        Master’s degree program: Electronics and Nanoelectronics, Industrial Electronics and Microprocessor Technology

        Description:
        The training will prepare you for design and research activities in various fields of science and production. You will broaden your knowledge in the field of special power electronics devices, microprocessor technology, power electronics, and electromagnetic compatibility of power electronics devices.

        Profound knowledge in the field of modern power electronics and microprocessor technology will ensure the demand in the labor market. Our training provides both fundamental general technical courses and promising non-traditional processes of electric energy conversion.
          The work on the thesis is carried out under the guidance of specialists in the following areas:
        • Development and research of mechatronic systems for autonomous objects
        • Development of electric energy storage systems and inactive power compensators based on multi-level semiconductor converters
        • Development of frequency converters based on autonomous inverters and their control methods
        • Energy optimization of converter systems.
        Acquired skills:

        You will be ready:

        • to formulate the goals and objectives of scientific research in accordance with the trends and prospects of the development of electronics and nanoelectronics, as well as related fields of science and technology;
        • to develop computerized electronic systems for the conversion and management of electrical energy in the energy sector, industry, automobile, railroad and air transport. These systems include both power electronics systems that ensure the operation of complex production mechanisms, devices and microprocessor systems that collect and process information as well as computer systems that control complex technological processes;
        • to reasonably choose theoretical and experimental methods and means of solving the formulated problems;
        • to develop effective algorithms for solving the formulated problems using modern programming languages and ensure their software implementation;
        • to develop the principles of planning and methods of experiment automation based on the information and measuring complexes as a means of increasing the accuracy and reducing the cost of its implementation;
        • to master the skills of real time measurements;
        • to the organization and conduct of experimental research using modern means and methods;
        • make scientifically grounded conclusions based on the results of theoretical and experimental research;
        • give recommendations for improving devices and systems;
        • write scientific publications and applications for inventions, as well as design devices and systems of power electronics, taking into account the specified requirements.
